Governor (Co-opted) (Bridge College)
We are looking for an experienced professional with a desire to make a positive difference at our special college in Openshaw (Bridge College).
Bridge College is a non-maintained special needs college based in Manchester. It is one of the specialist education services provided by the charity the Together Trust. We cater for young people aged 16 to 25 years of age who have struggled to cope in other settings because of their individual barriers to learning including learning difficulties, disabilities, complex health needs, and autism. Every day we provide personalised support, tailored learning, and hands-on life skills to give young people the confidence to exceed their aspirations.
This is a strategic role offering a great chance to make a real difference to the education of young people with support needs, and also an excellent opportunity to add strategic level leadership experience to your CV or Linked In profile.
Please note, if your application is successful we will carry out an Enhanced DBS check and Section 128 Check before you start in this role.
Whether you’re new to school governance or have experience of this type of role we’d love to hear from you!
